A global payments technology company is looking for a Senior Operational Risk Manager to join their team in Sydney.
As the Senior Operational Risk Manager, you will be responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive risk management policies and procedures that support ethical behavior and accountability. You will facilitate regular risk assessments, monitor and review emerging risks, and ensure that risk controls remain current and effective in response to evolving risk factors. Additionally, you will evaluate the effectiveness of risk management strategies and prepare detailed risk reports at defined intervals.
Ideal Candidate:
- At least 8 years of experience in risk management or audit role, ideally within the payment or financial services industry
- Good knowledge of operational risk management and internal control standards (ISO31000, COSO, SOC2, SOC1, COBIT)
- Strong expertise in risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring techniques
- Relevant experience in IT or Technology domains is highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments
